Nomad Lounge, the cocktail bar next to Tiffins Restaurant on Discovery Island at Disney's Animal Kingdom, is adding reservations, and a Passholder deal is coming there as well.

Both changes surfaced on Tuesday morning, October 13, in reports from WDWMagic, Blog Mickey and WDW News Today, which says it is the first time in the lounge's 10 years that it will take reservations. Seating is walk-up only before November 8. From that day, reservations are "recommended but not required," WDWMagic and WDW News Today report.

Reservations: the two dates to know

  • October 28: reservations open for booking, according to WDWMagic and WDW News Today.
  • November 8: the first day with reservations. Before that, seating is walk-up only.

Walk-ups are not going away. WDWMagic and WDW News Today say guests can still walk up or join a waitlist after reservations begin, and WDWMagic and Blog Mickey report that Disney says reservations and walk-up availability are both limited.

The $49 Passholder deal

From October 20 through December 18, 2026, Walt Disney World Passholders pay $49 for 2 small plates and 2 beverages, with tax and gratuity extra. It runs daily from 3:00 p.m. until close and covers the Passholder and up to 3 guests.

The outlets do not list the same items, so expect the choices to vary. Two small plates appear in all three reports: the Chinese Five-Spice Glazed Chicken Wings and Traveller's Provisions, warm roasted naan with a trio of dips. WDWMagic and WDW News Today name the Spice Trader Classic (alcoholic) and the Zingiber Fizzie (non-alcoholic) as drinks. Blog Mickey's list has the Wild Mushroom Dumplings plus the Leaping Lizard (alcoholic) and the Hibiscus Henna (non-alcoholic), and it says Disney has more eligible items beyond those.

The fine print, per WDWMagic and Blog Mickey:

  • The Charcuterie and Cheese Board is excluded, and the deal does not apply to substitutions or add-ons.
  • It is not valid with dining plans and does not stack with other discounts, offers or promotions.
  • Eligible menu items may change without notice.
  • You show your Annual Pass ID from the My Disney Experience app at the time of purchase, along with a valid photo ID. Alcohol is 21 and up.

You still need to get into the park. That means valid admission and a park reservation, or using the Passholder options to visit after 2:00 p.m. or on a good-to-go day, subject to blockout dates. Blog Mickey points out that the after-2:00 p.m. entry window leaves time to get settled before the deal starts at 3:00 p.m.

Is $49 actually a deal?

It depends on what you order. Blog Mickey ran the numbers using today's menu: $11 to $18 for a small plate, $19 for the Leaping Lizard and $7.75 for the Hibiscus Henna. Its top example (Traveller's Provisions, Sticky Pork Ribs, a Leaping Lizard and a Hibiscus Henna) comes to $62.75, a saving of $13.75. The ribs are not on any of the eligible-item lists reported so far, though, so ask before counting on them. Its weakest example, the Wild Mushroom Dumplings and Traveller's Provisions with two Hibiscus Hennas, comes to $47.50, which is $1.50 less than the deal. Blog Mickey's takeaway is that pairing the pricier plates with cocktails is where the savings are.

One thing the deal does not cover is the lounge's churro mobile order. Blog Mickey notes the Nomad Lounge To Go option is separate, and the offer is dine-in only.

Will you be booking a table on October 28, or are you sticking with walking up?
