Universal Orlando has just announced Volcano Bay Nights, a brand-new after-hours event coming to Universal's Volcano Bay this summer. The separately ticketed event runs on 14 select nights from May 3 through August 21, 2026, and promises shorter wait times, live entertainment, and complimentary snacks under the stars.

What Is Volcano Bay Nights?

The event officially kicks off at 7 p.m., but ticket holders can enter the water park as early as 4 p.m. for early access. Once the event begins, guests can enjoy the park's signature attractions — including the Krakatau Aqua Coaster, Ko'okiri Body Plunge, and TeAwa the Fearless River — with significantly shorter wait times than a typical summer day.

Entertainment & Characters

The centerpiece of the evening is the Beach Bash at Waturi Beach, featuring a live DJ spinning into the night. Guests can also meet DreamWorks characters from Shrek and Madagascar throughout the event.

Food, Drinks & Freebies

Every ticket includes some notable complimentary perks:

  • Blue Raspberry Churro Bites and Garlic Parmesan Popcorn — included with admission
  • Volcano Bay Freestyle Souvenir Cup with Coca-Cola refills throughout the night
  • Over 100 drink choices available
  • Additional specialty food and beverage items available for purchase

Pricing & Dates

Tickets are $99 plus tax per person, with parking included. Annual and Seasonal Passholders get a 10% discount with a valid pass and ID. Private cabanas start at $199.99 plus tax on a first-come, first-served basis.

The event runs on the following dates:

  • May: 3, 10, 17, 22, 31
  • June: 5, 12, 18, 25
  • July: 10, 17
  • August: 7, 14, 21

Our Take

At $99 with parking, complimentary snacks, a souvenir cup with refills, and shorter lines on summer evenings, this looks like solid value — especially compared to what a regular daytime visit to Volcano Bay can cost during peak summer. The DreamWorks character appearances and Beach Bash DJ add a layer of entertainment that goes beyond just riding the slides.
