Luke Combs' Category 10 Renderings Now Cover the CityWalk Construction Walls, and They Don't All Show the Same Building

Pick a Category 10, any Category 10. The construction walls around Luke Combs' future bar and music venue at Universal CityWalk Orlando are now covered in concept art, and the renderings do not agree with each other about what the building will look like.

WDW News Today spotted the new wall art and posted photos on Sunday, September 13. At least two of the panels carry a banner that reads "Coming to CityWalk Late 2027."

Spot the differences

WDW News Today's word for it is "different possible looks for the restaurant and bar." It points out that one piece has a rounder rooftop while another has a square roof, and it singles out the covered second-story seating in the rendering Category 10 released first, though at least two of the other panels also show a covered upper-level terrace. It also notes that the art shows the building from several viewpoints and at different times of day.

Looking across WDW News Today's photos of the panels, the clearest split is between the February design and a newer, flat-roofed look that several panels show from different sides:

• The February design: the rendering Category 10 put out with the Orlando announcement is on the wall. It has a tall gold-lit tower topped with a round cap, a vertical Luke Combs' Category 10 blade sign reading Music, Food, Spirits & Sports, and a covered balcony level.
• A red corner tower: another daytime panel swaps that for a flat-topped tower faced in red cladding and patterned dark panels, with a vertical Category 10 sign reading Music, Dancing, Brews & Bites.
• A giant mural: a third panel shows what looks like the same newer building from another side, with a white end wall carrying a huge Luke Combs mural of a performer with a guitar. Another panel on the wall shows the mural wall and the red tower together in one view.
• A night view from the water: a fourth shows the flat-roofed building lit up at night from across the water, with the same Music, Dancing, Brews & Bites tagline on the facade and a second mural of a figure playing guitar.

We have not seen Universal or Category 10 say which design, if any, is final. The February announcement from Category 10 said "more details on the project will be revealed over time," and we did not find the new renderings on Universal's press site.

What the construction site looks like

Behind the walls, the site is still dirt and heavy equipment. WDW News Today, working from recent aerial photos by bioreconstruct, says there has not been much vertical construction in the past few months, but that old steps and riverfront walkway infrastructure have been demolished and "the land has been raised."

That is a step past what we reported in July, when aerials showed the site largely cleared.

Category 10, quickly

• What it is: a live music, food and drink venue from Luke Combs and Opry Entertainment Group, a tribute to Combs' hit "Hurricane."
• Size: approximately 33,000 square feet, on three stories.
• Where: the CityWalk waterfront, near Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville.
• When: targeted for late 2027.
• How many: it will be the third Category 10, after the Nashville flagship and a Las Vegas location.
