The Cowfish Cut Four Items From Its Kids Menu Overnight, Raised Five More by Exactly a Dollar, and Put Milk on It at $3.75
If you have taken a child to The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar at Universal CityWalk, the kids menu you remember is not the one the restaurant is listing now. Twelve lines on it changed in a single overnight run: four entrees gone, five priced a dollar higher, and three drinks priced for kids where the old menu had listed no kids drink at all.
The quick facts: four kids entrees came off the menu. Five of the survivors each went up by exactly one dollar. And soda, milk and juice appeared as separately priced kids items, where no kids drink had been listed at all. Milk and juice are new charges; the $3.50 kids soda is cheaper than the $5.00 fountain soda the old menus listed for everyone.
What came off, and what went up
The four entrees removed were Dragon Bitez, Gorilla Cheez and the Vegetarian Roll, each of which had been $12, and the Tempura Shrimp Roll at $13.
The five that stayed all moved by the same single dollar. The California Roll went from $13 to $14. Mac & Cheez, Ninja Nuggets, the PB&J Sushi Roll and The Cowfish Mini Burgers each went from $12 to $13. Not one of them moved by more or less than a dollar, which is the sort of uniformity that suggests a pricing pass rather than a set of individual decisions.
Then there are the drinks. Soda is now listed at $3.50; 2% milk and juice are $3.75 apiece. Two dietary tags are new as well: the PB&J Sushi Roll is now labelled Vegan, and Mac & Cheez Vegetarian.
How we know what the menu used to say
This matters, because Universal's own website is hard to read from the outside. The changes were caught by ParkFi, a wait time and menu tracker that describes its method plainly: "Every night we pull every Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando menu we track, hash it, and diff it against the last version we saw."
We checked the previous state against two independent menu mirrors rather than take a single tracker's word for it. TouringPlans' Cowfish kids menu page, stamped "Last verified or updated on July 20, 2026," lists exactly nine kids items at exactly the prices above, with Dragon Bitez, Gorilla Cheez, the Vegetarian Roll, Mac & Cheez, Ninja Nuggets, the PB&J Sushi Roll and The Cowfish Mini Burgers all at $12.00, and the California Roll and Tempura Shrimp Roll at $13.00. It lists no kids drink at all. The $5.00 fountain soda sits on TouringPlans' separate everyday menu for the restaurant, carrying the same July 20 verification date, in a four item Non-Alcoholic Drinks section with no kids tier, and neither page lists milk or juice at any price. The Mouse For Less carries the same nine items, and adds that the bento boxes come with two sides rather than a drink. So the before picture is solid from two sources that have nothing to do with the tracker.
What we cannot do is pin down the exact moment it changed. Universal Orlando's own menu pages serve a near empty shell to anything but a live browser, which is a problem the Internet Archive has too: its January 2026 capture of the Cowfish page is just as blank. The archive's most recent capture of the TouringPlans kids menu is from April 17, 2026, and its most recent capture of The Mouse For Less page is from May 12, 2026, so there is no snapshot anywhere near the change to date it against. What is on the record is that two mirrors saw the old menu in late July and the tracker's diff caught the new one on its September 9 run, published the following day.
One tracker logged a barbecue platter coming back eleven dollars higher
The Cowfish was not the only Universal menu that moved that night. At NBC Sports Grill & Brew, also at CityWalk, the barbecue platter came off the menu as Red, White & Q at $33.95 and went back on as Red White & Q, without the comma, at $44.95.
The description did not change at all. It still reads, in the tracker's transcription, "smoked beef brisket and Cajun turkey, serrano-Cheddar sausage, fennel-cabbage slaw, pimento mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts, orange blossom honey corn bread, and white, golden and house barbecue sauces." What did change, besides the price, is that the new listing adds "serves 2" and drops the Gluten Sensitive tag that had been attached to the old one.
Two honest caveats here. The tracker notes that because the item's name changed, its diff logged this as a removal plus an addition rather than a price move, so it never entered its own price change log. And the $33.95 starting point is the one figure in this story we could not corroborate anywhere else, since neither menu mirror lists a Red, White & Q at all. Treat the eleven dollar jump as one tracker's reading of its own records, not as an established fact.
The rest of the night
A salmon swapped places at the same restaurant. Mediterranean Salmon went on at $32.95, and the Cedar Planked North Atlantic Salmon came off at the same $32.95, so that one is a substitution rather than an increase. The Mouse For Less lists the cedar planked version at $32.95 and TouringPlans lists it at $32.95 too, though TouringPlans also carries a second, duplicate listing of the same dish at $28.95.
Over at Blondie's: Home of the Dagwood in Universal Islands of Adventure, the Pineapple Bowl and the Watermelon Bowl both came off at $6.29 each, with nothing put in their place. That one is the tracker's alone; we could not find the fruit bowls on a second menu source.
One more thing worth separating out. Three of the four dishes the tracker logged as new at NBC Sports Grill & Brew had already been announced. The Mac and Cheese Burger, the End Zone Bowl and the Crunchy Corn Fritters are the NFL Kickoff items Universal announced on its own blog on September 7. They were in the menu system by September 9, the date the blog gave for NFL Kickoff, so the tracker caught them on time rather than late. The line that misses is the tracker's own note that it could not find these four items "published anywhere," when Universal had published three of them on its blog on September 7. Worth noting, though, that Universal's two channels do not quite agree on what is in the bowl: the blog describes cilantro rice, jalapeno queso, Jack cheese and a side of french fries, while the menu system lists jasmine rice, fiesta and Cotija cheese and avocado, with no fries mentioned.
If you are going
None of this is posted at the door, so the practical takeaway is small but real. A family ordering two kids entrees at The Cowfish now pays exactly $2 more than in July, and that figure holds whichever two you pick, because every surviving entree went up by the same dollar. The cheapest kids entree is $13 rather than $12. The drinks are harder to score than they look. Milk and juice at $3.75 are genuinely new charges, since neither mirror listed milk or juice anywhere at any price. Soda cuts the other way: the only fountain soda price on the old menus was $5.00 for everyone, with no kids tier, so a kids soda at $3.50 is $1.50 below the only soda price the old menus listed. Prices at The Cowfish and NBC Sports Grill & Brew are subject to change, and Universal has not announced the removals or the price rises.
