Universal's Next Free Passholder Magnet Puts Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow on It, and No Halloween Horror Nights Ticket Is Needed

Universal Orlando has shown off the next free magnet for Annual Passholders, and this one belongs to Halloween Horror Nights. The design surrounds blood-splattered "UOAP Passholder" text with a red curtain, and the letter O in UOAP is split down the middle between Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow.

Here is the part worth circling: you do not need a Halloween Horror Nights ticket to get it.

Where and when: handouts begin October 1 at two spots. The UOAP Lounge at Universal Islands of Adventure has them from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Tonight Shop at Universal Studios Florida has them from park open to close.

That second location matters more than it looks. The lounge's giveaway window is only five hours long, while The Tonight Shop hands the magnet out for the whole operating day. If you turn up after 4 p.m., The Tonight Shop is the only one of the two still giving them out, so check the day's posted park hours before you count on a late pickup.

The wristlet keychain is on a clock

The freebie currently on offer, a special wristlet keychain, runs through September 30 as part of Passholder Appreciation Days. The magnet picks up the very next day. There is no overlap, so if you want both, you need two separate visits on either side of that line.

Why these two characters

Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow are not a random pairing. Universal's own announcement for this year's event describes the setting as "the Infernal Carnival of Nightmares, a decrepit, fear-fueled carnival overseen by Halloween Horror Nights icon Jack the Clown and his legendary rival, Dr. Oddfellow." The magnet puts one on each side of a single letter, the same rivalry Universal built this year's event around.

The event itself is running its 35th anniversary year, with 10 haunted houses across 49 select nights through November 1.

What to do with this

Neither Universal's announcement nor the outlets covering it mention a quantity cap or a "while supplies last" note for this one. The Tonight Shop's longer window is the safer bet over the lounge's five hour block, and an earlier arrival beats a late one. And if the wristlet keychain is still on your list, September 30 is the last day for it.

The guide also never mentions the LEGO carrots, the Festival of Flurries or any of the event's characters apart from LEGO Santa.
