Universal Is Now Taking Bookings for a 700-Guest Epic Universe Event Space Opening in 2027
Universal Orlando is already selling an event space at Epic Universe that will not open until 2027. Its meetings and events website is now advertising an Indoor Event Space at the park, sized for up to 700 guests across 19,000 square feet, with an opening year of 2027. The listing does not say where in the park the space is, but Orlando ParkStop ties it to the events building going up near the front of the park, which is still a construction site.
The card sits on the Epic Universe venues page of Universal's group-sales site: "Bring your attendees to the exciting new event space at Universal Epic Universe. Accommodating up to 700 guests, the 19,000 sq. ft. space is just steps away from the park's attractions and opens 2027. Book your event now!"

Universal's pitch
Orlando ParkStop spotted the listing in its October 29 construction update, noting that "the company has started promoting the space for corporate rentals on their event booking website." The site also carries an official look inside: a rendering of a darkened ballroom set with dozens of round banquet tables under a lighting grid. ParkStop points out, and we confirmed, that the image's file name calls the room the "Celestial Expo Meetings Events Room." That name does not appear in the page's visible text, so it may be an internal label rather than the room's public name.
If ParkStop has the right building, Universal has now answered, for at least part of it, the two questions it left open in August. When we last checked in on the building in August, Universal had not said what it would be used for or announced an opening timeline, and everything we knew came from permits and aerial photos.

700 guests, but the permits said more
Universal's numbers are smaller than the ones in the filings. As we reported in August, permits for the project (labeled P915) described 53,886 square feet across two levels, roughly 29,749 of them enclosed, with an expected capacity of 1,200 to 1,400 people. The 19,000-square-foot space Universal is advertising looks like one part of that larger building, and 700 guests at an event is a different measure from a building's total occupancy. Universal has not explained the gap, so that reading is ours, not the company's.
The same page also pitches group dining inside the park for up to 500 attendees at venues in Celestial Park, naming Atlantic, The Oak & Star Tavern, Club Jupiter, The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant and an "Event Pavillion" (Universal's spelling).

Where it is
The building ParkStop ties to the listing sits just off Celestial Park, wedged between Other Worlds Mercantile and the edge of SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, which would fit Universal's "just steps away from the park's attractions" line. In August, WDW News Today read earlier aerials as a sign that part of the structure may serve Team Members first, and the aerial photographer, Bioreconstruct, said the front hall meant for private events could open later. Universal has not confirmed either point, but a 2027 date for the event space would fit that reading.
Would you book a company party next door to Mario and Bowser, or is a ballroom the least exciting thing Epic Universe could build? Let us know.
