If your kids want to show off their Panda Pose for Master Po, today is the day to do it. Po Live!, the interactive Kung Fu Panda show in DreamWorks Land at Universal Studios Florida, is temporarily closing starting Saturday, October 3.

Inside the Magic reports that Universal Orlando's refurbishment calendar lists the closure as "Starting October 3, 2026," with no end date attached. Inside Universal flagged the same closure on X on September 30.

Second closure of the year

This is not Po Live!'s first break in 2026. It closed on May 18 along with Po's Kung Fu Training Camp, the nearby splash area, for a refurbishment with a planned July 4 return. The training camp reopened on July 3, but Inside the Magic and Disney Fanatic both reported that day that Po Live! was staying closed, with its closure extended through Winter 2026.

The show did come back well ahead of that winter target. Universal's posted showtimes, as mirrored by ThemeParks.wiki, list Po Live! performances every half hour from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, October 2. In their October 1 reports, Disney Fanatic says Po Live! reopened in July and Inside the Magic says its refurbishment stretched through early July, which does not square with what both outlets reported on July 3, and we could not pin down the actual reopening date.

The difference this time is the calendar. The summer refurbishment at least started out with a published return date. This one only has a start date, and Universal has not said why the show is closing or how long the work will take.

What Po Live! is

Po Live! is not a ride. Guests gather in front of a screen in Panda Village while an animated Po talks with the audience and teaches kung fu moves. Universal's own guide to its shows describes it this way:

"Learn kung fu in the heart of Panda Village! Master Po will guide you through various moves inspired by his friends in the Furious Five as he babysits his mischievous cousin, Ling-Ling."

The closure reports name only Po Live!, not Po's Kung Fu Training Camp. Inside the Magic notes that Universal still lists Trolls Trollercoaster, Poppy's Playground, King Harold's Swamp Symphony and Shrek's Swamp Meet among the experiences in DreamWorks Land, which opened in 2024 in the space that was Woody Woodpecker's KidZone.

If you are visiting this weekend

Today, Friday, October 2, is the last listed day to catch Po Live! before the closure. After that, check the Universal Orlando app before you head to DreamWorks Land, since no reopening date has been posted yet.
