SeaWorld's Summer Nights End on Labor Day, and Its Own Calendar Lists No Fireworks or Drone Show Again Until November 6
If you have been putting off the drone show, you have until Monday, on the nights SeaWorld is running it.
SeaWorld Orlando's entire summer nighttime slate closes on Monday, September 7, which is Labor Day. Electric Ocean and the IGNITE Fireworks Spectacular and all new drone show finale both list that last date on SeaWorld's own events pages, and the Baby Shark at SeaWorld run ends the same day. After that, the park's published calendar does not list fireworks or drones again until Christmas Celebration opens on Friday, November 6, when SeaWorld promises "festive fireworks" and a Holiday Reflections finale that its FAQ says runs every night until January 1 and can be seen from the lagoon shoreline at closing.

The dates, straight off SeaWorld's pages: Electric Ocean runs "Select Dates, Jun. 12 - Sept. 7." IGNITE Fireworks Spectacular and the drone show are listed as "Select Dates, June 12 - September 7, 2026." Baby Shark at SeaWorld runs "July 6 - September 7." Christmas Celebration is "Select Dates, November 6 - January 4, 2027." One caveat: SeaWorld's own Christmas page is not consistent with itself. Its hero copy says the event starts November 6, but an FAQ further down that same page says "November 7 - January 5." The events listing and the hero both say November 6, so that is the date we are using. Worth noting on the summer side of the gap: on the Electric Ocean page the six individual shows each carry only a select nights "starting June 12" line with no end date of their own, so their last night is the one SeaWorld gives for Electric Ocean as a whole.
What actually goes away on Monday
Electric Ocean is not one show, it is six pieces, and SeaWorld tagged five of the six as returning, with the drone show billed as all new:
- IGNITE Fireworks Spectacular and the all new drone show at Bayside Stadium. SeaWorld describes "hundreds of synchronized drones creating glowing sea creatures, dynamic waves, and luminous formations set to the pulse of the anthem 'Feeling Electric,'" which then "seamlessly transitions into Ignite Fireworks Spectacular."
- Light Up the Night at Orca Stadium, which SeaWorld calls "a once fan-favorite spectacle."
- Sea Lions Tonite at Sea Lion and Otter Stadium, back "ALL-NEW with even more laughs, sass and classic sea lion mischief."
- Dolphins: Touch the Sky at Dolphin Stadium, which SeaWorld says is back "After 7 years."
- Club SeaGlow at Bayside Stadium, a DJ dance party running up to the fireworks.
- Hydro Surge at Nautilus Theater, billed as "an electrifying cirque spectacular."

The dolphin show waited seven years to come back
Of the three nighttime animal presentations, Dolphins: Touch the Sky is the one worth going out of your way for, because it is the only one SeaWorld put a number on. SeaWorld's page describes "playful bottlenose dolphins, an incredible cast of animal ambassadors and an original, energetic soundtrack," and calls it "the perfect way to start an unforgettable night at Electric Ocean." It returned this summer after a seven year absence. SeaWorld's events page already lists Electric Ocean itself for May through September 2027, but it has not said which of this summer's shows come back with it.

Halloween takes over, but it is a different kind of night
SeaWorld is not going dark. Halloween Spooktacular runs "Select Dates, Aug. 29 - Nov. 1" and Howl-O-Scream runs "Select Nights, Sept. 11 - Oct. 31," so there is plenty on the calendar in September and October. What changes is the shape of the evening. Spooktacular is the family daytime event, Howl-O-Scream is the separately ticketed haunt, and neither event page mentions fireworks or drones anywhere. Howl-O-Scream does promise "electrifying live shows and atmospheric entertainment throughout the night," but that is venue entertainment, not a sky show. The park wide nighttime spectacular is the specific thing that stops.

Worth knowing before you go
Every one of these shows is listed as running on select nights rather than nightly, so check SeaWorld's park hours and show times page for the specific date you are visiting rather than assuming Monday's full lineup runs all weekend. Also on the calendar this weekend: ASL Saturdays on Saturday, September 5, and Magical Dining at Sharks Underwater Grill through September 30.
