SeaWorld's New $29.99 Howl-O-Scream Upgrade Includes the One House Its $69.99 and $89.99 Skip the Line Passes Both Exclude
SeaWorld Orlando just quietly undercut its own skip the line ladder, and it did it with a cocktail.
A new product called Sip & Scream has appeared on the Howl-O-Scream upgrades page at $29.99. For that you get one-time priority access to a single haunted house of your choosing, plus a 20 oz cocktail in a light-up souvenir cup. It is the cheapest line skipping product SeaWorld sells for the event.
It is also, oddly, the only one under $99.99 that lets you point it at I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Final Catch, the licensed house SeaWorld has built this year's marketing around.

The ladder, and where the new rung landed
Here is how the Howl-O-Scream upgrades stack up on SeaWorld's own page right now:
- Sip & Scream, from $29.99. One-time priority access to one house of your choice, plus the drink.
- Front Line Fear, from $69.99. "Includes single-use priority access at select haunted houses (excludes I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Final Catch)."
- Front Line Fear EXTREME, from $89.99. Same wording, same exclusion, plus single-use thrill ride priority access (both the comparison table and the product fine print agree on one-time per ride, not unlimited).
- Front Line Fear ULTIMATE, from $99.99. Unlimited priority access at the other houses, "one-time priority access to I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Final Catch," and reserved seating at Monster Stomp.
- VIP Terror Tour, from $299.99. Unlimited at all houses, with a private guide.
Read that list twice and the shape of it is genuinely strange. Spend $69.99 or $89.99 and the Fisherman's house is off the table. Spend $29.99 on the drink upgrade and it is the first option in the list.
Sip & Scream's fine print names the eligible houses outright: "Choose one Haunted House: ALL-NEW! I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Final Catch, Crawlspace, Dark Net, Everything Must Stay, or Rave Yard."
Front Line Fear ULTIMATE, at $99.99, was until now the cheapest upgrade that touched the Fisherman's house (the $299.99 VIP Terror Tour also includes it). Image: SeaWorld Orlando.
The catch, and there is one
The $29.99 buys exactly one house. It is not a night of skipping lines, it is a single house visit plus a drink, and SeaWorld is careful about what "priority" means: "Priority Access does not guarantee immediate access, it bypasses majority of the line."
A few other things worth knowing before you assume this is the value play:
- Pricing "varies by date" and availability is limited, so $29.99 is a floor, not a flat rate.
- You must be 21 or older to buy or drink the alcoholic version, with a photo ID at each redemption.
- Mocktails are an option, but "Mocktails DO NOT receive a limited-edition souvenir cup."
- Park admission is required and not included.
- The cocktail is redeemed at one of the Howl-O-Scream bar locations, not at the house.
So the comparison is not really "Sip & Scream instead of Front Line Fear." If you want to skip lines all night, the Front Line Fear tiers are still what does that. What changed is that the cheapest way to get into the headline house without spending $99.99 now exists, and it comes with a drink.
SeaWorld has not put it in its own comparison table
The upgrades page carries a section headed "Compare Our Evil Upgrades." Its columns are Front Line Fear, Front Line Fear EXTREME, Front Line Fear ULTIMATE and VIP Terror Tour. Sip & Scream is not in it. Neither is the Howl-O-Scream Tasting Lanyard, the other newer product on the page, which sells at $79.99 for a ten punch Spirits & Bites lanyard or $49.99 for a five punch Mocktails & Bites version.
SeaWorld has not said why. The table is still the obvious place a guest would compare options, and Sip & Scream is not on it.

When this showed up
Recently, and without a press release. SeaWorld's own sitemap records the upgrades page as last modified on September 2 at 1:43pm ET, the most recently touched Howl-O-Scream page on the Orlando site. Neither Sip & Scream nor the Tasting Lanyard appears in the page's most recent Internet Archive capture, taken July 16. Haunted Attraction Network's running Howl-O-Scream tracker, last updated August 9, still describes the skip the line options as "Front Line Fear and Front Line Fear Extreme skip-the-line upgrades are sold separately," with no mention of either.
Howl-O-Scream 2026 runs select nights from September 11 through October 31, so the upgrade surfaced on the page about nine days before opening night.
