SeaWorld's Christmas Pages Give Four Different Answers for When Christmas Runs, and Two of Them End in the Wrong Year

SeaWorld Orlando's Christmas Celebration page is live and open for planning right now. It just cannot decide when Christmas is.

Read the top of the page and the season "starting November 6, 2026 - January 4, 2026." Scroll to the FAQ on the same page and it "takes place November 7 - January 5 on select dates and is included with theme park admission." Back out to the park's events index and the card reads "Christmas Celebration Select Dates, November 6 - January 4, 2027."

Three surfaces, three answers. There is also a fourth. The park's Christmas Celebration VIP Tour page carries a "You may also like" promo for the same event reading "November 6 2026 - January 3 2026," which is a fourth end date and a second trip into the wrong year. The FAQ prints no year at all, and of the three answers that do put a year on the January date, only the events index picks one that falls after the season starts.

The wrong year is the fun one

The hero banner's date sentence in full: "Find a winter wonderland fun for all ages with dazzling light displays, Christmas shows, holiday treats and festive fireworks starting November 6, 2026 - January 4, 2026."

A season that starts on November 6, 2026 and ends on January 4, 2026 would have to run backwards for ten months. It is very obviously a typo. It is also the first date a guest reads on the page they are being sent to in order to book.

The New Year's Eve entry has the same problem in the other direction. The page lists "New Year's Eve Dec. 31" and invites you to "Ring in 2026 SeaWorld-style with bold fireworks and ocean-inspired festivities." December 31 of this season rings in 2027. Ringing in 2026 on that date would require the party to be a full year late.

The one day gap is the part that actually matters

The wrong years are funny. The one day offset is the one that could cost somebody a trip.

November 6 versus November 7 is a real fork for anybody booking an opening weekend. So is January 4 versus January 5 for a family stretching a holiday trip to its last night. And the FAQ is not alone on the later dates: the same page says "The award-winning Winter Wonderland on Ice returns to SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration on select dates from Nov. 7 - Jan. 5," which lines the headline show up with the FAQ rather than with the banner directly above it.

So two of the page's own surfaces agree on November 7 to January 5, and the banner sitting above them disagrees, as does the events index, in different ways. The Christmas Celebration shows sub-page repeats that same FAQ answer word for word, and the event's dining specials page dates its holiday cheesecakes "Nov. 16 - Jan. 5," landing on the same closing day. Note that the event windows are all described as select dates or select nights, so a date falling inside one is not by itself a promise the event runs that night.

What else the page says

Underneath the date mess, the page does lay out a fuller holiday slate than the headline event alone:

  • Hanukkah Celebration, December 4 to 12
  • Kwanzaa Festivities, December 26 to January 1
  • New Year's Eve, December 31
  • Three Kings Celebration, January 3 to 6

The Three Kings dates are their own small puzzle. January 3 to 6 starts on one page's end date and runs past all three of the others, which means the celebration outlasts every version of the season's end date we could find on the site.

Our read, and it is a read rather than anything SeaWorld has said: this looks like a copy deck that has not been fully rolled over, not a schedule change. The page's own source supports it. Sitting in the HTML immediately behind the live FAQ answer, commented out rather than deleted, is the 2024-25 season's version of the same sentence: "This year the event runs from November 8, 2024 - January 2, 2025 on select dates and is included with theme park admission." What is not in dispute is that the events index carries the version that makes calendar sense, and that the FAQ and the ice show agree with each other. Until SeaWorld cleans it up, treat November 7 to January 5 as the working window and check the calendar before booking the edges.

These conflicts are not brand new. Deep Arrival noted the three way split on July 25, when the banner still ended on "January 3, 2026." The edit trail is the interesting part. An archived copy of the page from July 9, just over two weeks before that report, shows the January 3 end date; an archived copy from August 19 shows January 4. Somebody went into that line, changed the day, and left the year sitting at 2026. The VIP tour page still reads January 3. SeaWorld has published no dates for this year's Christmas season in either the SeaWorld Orlando press room or the United Parks press release feed.
