SeaWorld's Two Park Howl-O-Scream Pass Rose From $104.99 to $189.99, and the Sale Banner Now Runs to September 20

SeaWorld Orlando's ticket page now lists the Two Park Unlimited Scream Pass, which covers unlimited Howl-O-Scream nights at SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, at $189.99. In early September the same pass was $104.99.

The SeaWorld-only option inside the same listing went up too, from $99.99 to $124.99. That is $85 more for the two-park pass and $25 more for the one-park version.

What moved, and what did not

We compared SeaWorld's tickets page on Monday, September 14, with a copy of the Howl-O-Scream event page, which carries the same Single-Night, Any Night and Two Park Unlimited Scream Pass cards, that we saved on the evening of September 4. The Pass Member price comes from our September 7 and 8 stories. Here is the full picture, per ticket:

• Two Park Unlimited Scream Pass (SeaWorld & Busch Gardens): $189.99, up from $104.99, against a crossed-out $308.99
• Unlimited Scream Pass, SeaWorld-only option: $124.99, up from $99.99, against a crossed-out $205.99
• Single-Night Ticket: from $47.99, up from $45.99 (SeaWorld lists both as starting prices for a date-specific ticket)
• Any Night Ticket: $64.99, down from $69.99 (it had already dropped by September 8)
• Pass Member Single-Night Ticket: $39.99 through the Pass Member portal, down from $40.99

The label on the two-park card changed with the price. On September 4 it read "Save Over 65%." Today it reads "Save Over 35%."

The rest of today's ladder: the Two Park Ticket (one visit at each park) is $89.99, the Night & Day Ticket is $99.99, and the Front Line Unlimited Scream Pass is $349.99 for SeaWorld only or $499.99 with Busch Gardens.

A new deadline on the banner

The sale banner now shows a later date. On September 4, the event page read "Hurry Offer Ends Sept 7th" and "Tickets as Low as $45.99!" and a tickets page banner with the same Sept 7th deadline and $45.99 price was still up on September 8. Today the event page reads "Hurry Offer Ends Sept 20th" and "Tickets as Low as $47.99!"

SeaWorld's page does not say what prices will look like after September 20.

When the passes went up

We found no announcement of the change, and SeaWorld's page does not date it. When we checked the page for our September 7 story, the passes were still $99.99 and $104.99. By Sunday, September 13, a Disney Food Blog guide to the event was already quoting $124.99, along with a $47.99 single-night price. That guide attached the $124.99 price to the Two Park pass, but SeaWorld's own page puts it on the SeaWorld-only option and lists the two-park pass at $189.99.

This is the third set of pass prices we have recorded since August 24. On that date, we reported the SeaWorld-only pass cost $10 more than the two-park pass. By August 31, that had flipped, with the one-park option at $99.99. Now the gap between the two is $65.

Is the pass still worth it?

Quick math: at today's prices, two Any Night Tickets cost $129.98, so the $124.99 SeaWorld-only Unlimited Scream Pass beats them by your second visit. If you can commit to dates, Single-Night Tickets start at $47.99, and against those the pass pays off from the third visit. If you are only going to SeaWorld, the SeaWorld-only pass is the cheaper of the two passes however many nights you go, so the $189.99 Two Park pass makes sense only if you will also visit Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. For one night at each park, the $89.99 Two Park Ticket costs $100 less than the $189.99 Two Park pass.

Howl-O-Scream runs select nights through October 31. SeaWorld's online prices have changed several times since late August, so check the tickets page before you buy.
