SeaWorld Is Building an I Know What You Did Last Summer House for Howl-O-Scream, and the Fisherman Shows Up September 11
The Fisherman is coming to Orlando. SeaWorld announced Friday morning that Sony's "I Know What You Did Last Summer" is becoming a Howl-O-Scream haunted house, and versions of it open September 11 at SeaWorld Orlando, SeaWorld San Diego and SeaWorld San Antonio.
The house is called "I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Final Catch," and SeaWorld says it is based on "the first installment" of the franchise. SeaWorld describes it as "a haunted house version of the 1997 hit" and says the house marks "the first time the film is being brought to life at a major Halloween event." The release makes no reference to the franchise's later films.

What is inside
According to the announcement, guests "wander through horrifying recreations of several unforgettable movie scenes and into the events that unfold during the original Southport massacre," in a house where "every corner hides the vengeful Fisherman."
Marc Swanson, CEO of United Parks & Resorts, framed the license as a milestone. "We're always looking for new ways to raise the bar on immersive entertainment, and bringing 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' to our Howl-O-Scream events is an exciting milestone for all three SeaWorld parks," he said in the release.
He added that the company is "excited to deliver what we believe is our most ambitious Howl-O-Scream yet."
The dates
Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld Orlando runs September 11 through October 31 on select nights. September's event nights are the 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th, 25th and 26th, every Friday and Saturday from opening weekend on.

There is a sale attached
SeaWorld paired the reveal with a promotion it calls the Killer Summer Sale. The release advertises "savings of up to 65% on Howl-O-Scream tickets and up to 70% for Pass Members" in Orlando and San Diego. In San Antonio, Howl-O-Scream is included with park admission, and the release says guests there can save on tickets, Season Passes and Annual Passes through the Summer Sale.
On SeaWorld Orlando's Howl-O-Scream page Friday, the Any Night Ticket was listed at $38.99 per person with a four ticket minimum, down from $125.99. The Unlimited Scream Pass was $112.99, down from $205.99, and a version carrying blockout dates was $102.99, down from $182.99. A Two Park Unlimited Scream Pass was $164.99, down from $308.99, and Pass Members were quoted $29.99 for a single night. The release does not give an end date, but a countdown banner on the same page Friday said the offer ends Sunday.
Busch Gardens got one the same morning
SeaWorld's parent company put out a second release 10 minutes later. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is getting "Anaconda: Fear Has No Escape" and Busch Gardens Williamsburg is getting "Anaconda: Dead on Arrival," both licensed from Sony and both debuting September 11. Between the two announcements, every United Parks Howl-O-Scream event in the country picks up a licensed film house this fall.
What is still unanswered
SeaWorld has not said where the house sits in the park, how long the walkthrough runs, or whether the Orlando, San Diego and San Antonio versions are identical. The release says the three are inspired by the same film but stops short of calling them the same maze. No Sony executive is quoted in the announcement.
The park's own website answers one question the release does not. SeaWorld Orlando still advertises "5 haunted houses with 4 ALL-NEW storylines" for 2026, and as of Friday afternoon its Howl-O-Scream attractions page listed The Final Catch as one of them, alongside the previously announced Everything Must Stay and three houses that are still unnamed.
