Legoland Florida's Fun Town 4D Theater Is Now the Imagination Theater, and the Rest of the Park's Own Website Has Not Been Told

Legoland Florida's 4D theater has a new name. The marquee over the door reads IMAGINATION THEATER, the park has built it a fresh attraction page, and as far as we can tell no one has announced the change.

The page went live at legoland.com/florida/things-to-do/theme-park/rides-attractions/imagination-theater/. Legoland's own sitemap timestamps its last modification to 18:49 GMT on Thursday, September 3, which is 2:49 p.m. Eastern, two days before Brick or Treat opened.

The rest of the site still says Fun Town

This is where it gets untidy for anyone actually trying to find the place.

The individual film pages have not moved. Pull up LEGO DREAMZzz 4D: Z-Blob Rescue Rush on Legoland's site right now and its location field reads "Theme Park, Fun Town." Same for the other films. The venue has a new name on its own page and the old location on theirs.

The Brick or Treat event guide splits the difference. It lists all three of the event's 4D showings under Imagination Theater, but files those listings inside a panel headed MonsterBand Boulevard, with the line IN FUN TOWN printed underneath. So the guide uses the new venue name and the old land name in the same breath, which is at least accurate on both counts.

One more small tell that this was done in a hurry: the filename Legoland gave its own hero image is imagination-theter-desktop.png, and the square version listed in its sitemap entry is imagination-theater-sqaure.png. Both typos are theirs.

How new is the name, really

New enough that the internet has not caught up. The Imagination Theater page has no Internet Archive captures at all, while the separate Imagination Zone page (a different building, and one we wrote about in late August) has captures going back to April 2021. A snapshot of Legoland's rides and attractions list from August 13 this year carries no Imagination Theater entry, and it is the only listing that index has gained since.

What the venue used to be called is easier to trace through Legoland's own retired URLs. The Internet Archive holds legoland.com pages at .../fun-town/attractions/4d-theater/ from 2019, and before that .../fun-town/attractions/wells-fargo-4d-theater/ from 2016. That 2016 page is headed Wells Fargo 4D Theater with Fun Town under it, so this has been the 4D theater in Fun Town for at least a decade, with a bank's name on it for part of that run.

Legoland's copy for the new page leans on the break from the sun: "Imagination Theater invites families to step into the world of LEGO storytelling and enjoy an entertaining break from the Florida sun. This immersive theater experience features exciting 4D films starring fan-favorite LEGO characters, brought to life with special effects that put guests right in the action."

A film gets bumped for Halloween

The permanent marquee lists three films: LEGO DREAMZzz 4D: Z-Blob Rescue Rush, LEGO City 4D: Officer in Pursuit, and LEGO Friends 4D: Alien Invasion.

On Brick or Treat days, the third one is not in the rotation. The event guide's lineup is The Great Monster Chase! 4D, LEGO DREAMZzz 4D: Z-Blob Rescue Rush and LEGO City 4D: Officer in Pursuit. Alien Invasion sits it out.

To be clear about what is and is not new here: The Great Monster Chase! 4D is not a debut. It ran at Brick or Treat in 2025, and Legoland's event page still opens its description with the same words it used last year: "Laugh along in this 4D movie adventure as four LEGO tweens try to sneak into the Monster Party," going on to promise thrilling effects and silly scares. The event guide gives it a different line, "Join your favorite LEGO Monsters in this action-packed 4D movie featuring music, wind, water, and more!" The new thing is the building's name, not the film.

Guide showtimes for the three, each listed at approximately 12 minutes:

• The Great Monster Chase! 4D: 11:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m.
• LEGO DREAMZzz 4D: Z-Blob Rescue Rush: 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 4:00 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 7:00 p.m.
• LEGO City 4D: Officer in Pursuit: 12:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 6:00 p.m., 7:30 p.m.

Why this matters more than a name usually would

This is the park's main indoor show venue. Legoland's own 2016 page for it billed the room as "LEGOLAND's largest 4-D theater" with seats for "more than 600," and that same page already had three different films rotating through the day. It is what people go looking for when a Florida afternoon turns hostile. If you search the park map or the Legoland app for the 4D theater and the listing now says Imagination Theater while the film pages still say Fun Town, that is a small amount of friction on an event day.

Worth adding: Imagination Theater and Imagination Zone are two different buildings with very similar names, and the Zone is where Brick or Treat Street and the LEGO Mummy and LEGO Wacky Witch meet and greets live. The Brick or Treat guide gives them separate panels, in different parts of the park.

Brick or Treat runs on select dates through October 31 and is included with park admission. Legoland has published no announcement of the rename that we can find, and we have not seen it mentioned anywhere else, so treat the marquee as the most reliable source available.
