Mummy's Throne Room Is the Last Brick or Treat Street House Legoland Wrote Up, and Its Big Trick Is a Toilet Flush

Legoland Florida has been writing up Brick or Treat Street one house at a time since the start of September, and two doors stayed shut. Wolf Guy's Cabin and Mummy's Throne Room had no page of their own while the other four did. Both now do, and the Mummy's is the one worth reading.

Behind the tomb door: a triggered water splash, glowing glyph lighting, audio effects, and, per Legoland's own write-up, "a comedic toilet flush sound effect."

The quick facts: Mummy's Throne Room is indoors in the Imagination Zone, themed as an ancient tomb. The visitor's job is to read the themed signs, then knock. Legoland classifies it as a trick moment and puts the interaction at roughly 20 to 30 seconds.

Two houses, two new stopwatch numbers

This is the second and third time the park has timed an individual house. Wolf Guy's Cabin is also listed at about 20 to 30 seconds, where a knock sets off a projected silhouette transformation, creature sound effects, and an invitation to howl along. Only one other house page carries a number at all: Plant Monster's Greenhouse, posted September 6, is listed at roughly 25 to 35 seconds, making it the longest of the three. The Wacky Witch, Scarecrow and Spider Lady pages give no per-house time.

The whole street is still described as approximately 7 to 10 minutes of continuous flow, with queuing on top of that.

Only one of the six actually hands out candy

The Brick or Treat Street overview page answers this directly. Asked whether kids get candy on Brick or Treat Street, Legoland says: "Yes. Wacky Witch's Cottage is designed as the treat moment on Brick or Treat Street, where guests can receive candy. Other houses feature tricks, interactive surprises or LEGO® building moments."

A house-by-house table on the same page makes it explicit, labelling Wacky Witch's Cottage the street's one "Treat," Scarecrow's Barn a "Brick," and the other four "Trick." That is one treat stop out of six doors, which is worth knowing, because the park's own event page still describes the walkthrough in the plural, inviting guests to "collect treats and LEGO bricks." The candy stations scattered around the rest of the park, open 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., remain where the volume is.

The Dragon's overlay has a name now

Buried in the same overview page is something the park's event page never says. The Dragon's Halloween version is called The Sweet Escape. In it, per Legoland, "guests help Merlin recover the kingdom's missing candy by making the dragon laugh." Driving School gets a Brick or Treat twist as well.

The event page describes the same coaster only as a "Roarsome Halloween Adventure" with LEGO ghosts, toxic spiders and radioactive bats, and makes no mention of the Merlin storyline, the missing candy, or the name.

A note on the timestamps

The park's sitemap stamps the Mummy's Throne Room page at Thursday morning and Wolf Guy's Cabin at Tuesday morning, and the Brick or Treat Street overview was updated Thursday. The page data on both house pages, though, carries an August 28 publication date. So do the other four houses and the overview, which makes it look like a content management system stamp rather than a real publish time. It also does not line up with the pages' own visible bylines, which read Thursday September 10 for the Mummy and Tuesday September 8 for Wolf Guy, or with those two URLs being unreachable when we went looking for them on Sunday and Monday. Legoland's timestamps have disagreed with each other before, so treat the exact publication moment as unsettled. What is verifiable today is that all six houses now have a page and the classification is on the record.

Brick or Treat operates on select dates between September 5 and October 31, and on event days it is covered by general park admission. Brick or Treat Street is indoors in the Imagination Zone, which makes it the reliable option on a wet afternoon.
