Legoland Florida Brings Back the Christmas Bricktacular Name, Adds a Drone Show and a Rap Battle, and Drops Four Activities From the Page

Legoland Florida rewrote its holiday event page at 11:20 this morning, according to the last modified timestamp for that page in the resort's own sitemap, and the event came out of it with a different name. What has been Holidays at LEGOLAND is now LEGOLAND Christmas Bricktacular. The URL did not change. The dates did not change. Almost everything else on the page did.

The quick facts: the rename is on the resort's holidays page. Three additions are flagged "New for 2026": a festive drone show featuring LEGO Santa, a Rap Battle show the page calls the resort's first ever, and an interactive light trail. Four activities that were on the page in August are no longer on it, although Legoland's own blog guide still lists them. The event still runs 26 select dates from November 21 through January 3, and it is still included with park admission.

The name is the headline

The new hero line on the page reads "Light Up LEGOLAND This Holiday Season!" and the body copy underneath opens with "This holiday season, build, play and celebrate together at LEGOLAND Christmas Bricktacular". The old page opened differently: "Sleigh into the jolliest time of year with Holidays at LEGOLAND Florida Resort!"

How settled was the old name? On this page, completely. Archived copies from 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 all call the event Holidays at LEGOLAND, and the string "Bricktacular" appears in none of them. As recently as an August 19 capture, the phrase Holidays at LEGOLAND appeared 17 times in the page's visible copy and Christmas Bricktacular appeared zero times anywhere in the page source. Today it is the reverse: Christmas Bricktacular appears 14 times in the visible copy, and the Holidays at LEGOLAND name is gone from the visible copy, surviving only four times in the page source. The one place the old wording is still on screen has been quietly demoted to lower case: a line that read "Experience the Holidays at LEGOLAND Florida" in August now reads "Experience the holidays at LEGOLAND Florida."

The name is not new to Legoland Florida, though. It is a revival. Before the Holidays at LEGOLAND era, the resort called its holiday event Christmas Bricktacular: archived park pages from November 2017 and September 2018 are both titled "Christmas Bricktacular Event at LEGOLAND Florida," and the 2018 version lists the event on December 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16 and 22 through 25, built around the same LEGO Christmas tree and LEGO Santa. That old event page is long gone, and the Holidays at LEGOLAND page first appears in the archive in September 2020. So this week's change is Legoland going back to a name it used in the 2010s, not inventing one.

What did not move is the calendar. The page still lists November 21, 22, 27, 28 and 29, then December 5, 6, 12, 13, and 18 through 31, then January 1, 2 and 3. That is the same 26 date list Legoland posted in August, character for character.

Three things flagged New for 2026

The page has a "What's Included" heading that did not exist in August, and three of its bullets carry a New for 2026 tag:

• New for 2026: "Festive drone show, featuring LEGO Santa!"
• New for 2026: "The Resort's first ever Rap Battle Show!"
• New for 2026: "An interactive festive light trail, featuring LEGO brick-building."

The intro copy adds a fourth activity that is not bulleted and carries no New for 2026 tag, although it is new to the page: it was not there in August. A single sentence lists four things guests can do, and one of them, creating "magical LEGO carrots to refuel the reindeer", appears nowhere in the bullets. The other three are the drone show, where guests "watch LEGO Santa take to the skies", the rap battle and the light trail.

The rap battle is the odd one out, and the page gives away nothing else about it. No performers, no venue, no show times, no indication of who is rapping against whom. Legoland Florida already runs one drone show, Monster Skytacular, on five Brick or Treat nights in October, so drones themselves are not new to the resort.

Four activities came off the page

The rewrite was not purely additive. Four named activities that the August version described in detail are simply absent now:

• North Pole Postal Service. August copy: "Write a special letter to LEGO Santa with the help of his best elves, and watch your letter fly all the way to the North Pole!" It was limited to the December 6 through 25 event days.
• Santa's Toy Build. August copy: "LEGO Santa needs your help to fill his bag with toys and gifts! Using LEGO bricks and your imagination, build anything you'd like for the man in red."
• Holiday Traditions Scavenger Hunt. A DUPLO Valley hunt for holiday icons with "a festive prize! While supplies last."
• Sleigh Build Competition. August copy: "create new sleigh designs, race them down snowy slopes, and enter for the chance to win a grand prize!"

In their place is one generic tile called Festive LEGO Brick Building Activities: "Get creative with a collection of festive LEGO builds. Families can build together and add their own piece of festive magic to the celebration!" Four specific things became one vague thing.

Worth saying plainly: a page edit is not a cancellation, and Legoland's own site suggests these activities are still on. The resort's blog guide to the 2026 holiday season was updated this afternoon, about two and a half hours after the event page was rewritten, and its body copy still calls the event Holidays at LEGOLAND Florida Resort and still lists all four of the dropped items among the things families can enjoy, down to the December 6 through 25 window for the North Pole Postal Service. The site's main navigation menu, which sits on that blog page too, has already switched to LEGOLAND Christmas Bricktacular. What has changed is the event page itself, where the four are no longer named and the tile that replaced them names nothing.

The swap is not finished

A few corners of the site still have not caught up. The page's own browser title still reads "Holiday Events at LEGOLAND Florida Resorts," and its meta description still promises "seasonal shows, LEGO characters, and twinkling lights on select nights" with no mention of the Bricktacular name. The hero photo's alt text still refers to Holidays at LEGOLAND. The tile image on the replacement brick-building block is still the file named for Santa's Toy Build, the activity it replaced.

What survives untouched, word for word, is the core of the event: the 30 foot tall LEGO Christmas tree, the meet and greets with LEGO Santa, LEGO Nutcracker, LEGO Gingerbread Man and the rest of the holiday minifigure crew, the Festival of Flurries show, and the Holly Hype Dance Party with LEGO Reindeer Girl. And the line about price is unchanged in substance: Christmas Bricktacular is included in General Park Admission.

There has been no press release. Merlin's press site carries nothing for Legoland Florida newer than August. The rename simply appeared.
