Disney Springs Turns On Its Halloween Menus August 11, and No Park Ticket or Party Ticket Is Required

Disney published its Disney Springs Halloween foodie guide on Tuesday, and the useful part is not the food. It is the calendar. Halloween at Disney Springs switches on August 11 at most locations, which makes it the Halloween food at Walt Disney World you can buy without a park ticket or a party ticket.

The dates are staggered, and that is the thing to write down

The guide covers more than two dozen locations, counting the Disney Springs outdoor bars as one entry. Most switch on August 11. Five do not.

The end dates spread even further. October 31 is the most common finish, but Chef Art Smith's Homecomin', City Works Eatery & Pour House and The BOATHOUSE hold their menus through November 30. Jaleo runs to December 31, which puts its entry in the Halloween guide two months past Halloween and well into the holiday season. Chicken Guy! runs August 11 through November 1, then keeps its Pumpkin Spiced Cheesecake Shake going until November 15.

Jock Lindsey's gets the overlay back on August 11

The Halloween Overlay at Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar returns August 11 with decor and the largest list of new items in the guide, and it runs through November 9. Among the new arrivals: Candelabra Eggs, deviled eggs with crispy fried chicken and aji amarillo custard; Midnight Mayhem Popcorn Chicken with candied bacon, spiced walnuts and hot honey sauce; Bone Kebabs; and a Temple of Doom Margarita finished with a black sugar rim.

The treats worth targeting

Amorette's Patisserie leads with the Candle Petit Cake, black velvet cake with spiced berry jam, pumpkin ganache and a dark chocolate glaçage, alongside new peanut butter, s'mores and cherry pie éclairs. The Ganachery has the Pumpkin Spice S'more and a set of Haunted Mansion Portrait Bars, four chocolate ganache bars in chipotle, raspberry, salted caramel and passion fruit. Frontera Cocina has a Chocolate Skull built on vanilla bean mousse and strawberry compote, and eet by Maneet Chauhan is serving Franken-Weenies, corn dogs over pork chili and beer cheese in a casket style presentation, through October 31.

Still no prices

Not one price appears anywhere in the guide. That is now the pattern rather than the exception. We noted the same omission on July 23, when Disney posted all 58 items on the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party menu without a single dollar figure. For party food the omission is survivable, since most of it is included with the party ticket. At Disney Springs everything here is a la carte, so the guide tells you what exists and nothing about what an evening costs.

How this lines up with the party

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party opened its season on August 7, so the August 11 wave at Disney Springs lands four days behind the party, not ahead of it. The Polite Pig is the exception that beat it, by six days. Either way this is the Halloween food nobody needs a ticket to reach, and with eight party nights already sold out as of our August 1 check, that matters more this year than usual. Disney says Halloween menus for EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom are still to come.
